Pattern Notes:
Gauge is not critical for this design. The completed blanket measures approximately 34” wide by 37” tall. Each hexagon, before adding the final border, measures approximately 8”.

This pattern is designed with versatility in mind — you can easily expand the dimensions to create a full-size afghan by adding additional hexagons. For each set of 6 additional hexagons, you will need one extra skein of each yarn colour, ensuring there is enough for half-hexagons, triangle fillers, and the final border.

Customizable Design

This beautiful baby blanket pattern is easily customizable to any size you desire. The design is based on hexagons, and you can create a larger blanket (even a full-size afghan) simply by adding more hexagons.

If you plan to enlarge the blanket, you will need extra yarn. For every additional 6 hexagons you add, plan to purchase one extra skein of yarn in each color. This will give you enough yarn for the extra half-hexagons, triangle fillers, and border when customising.

The original sample used approximately 3½ skeins of each color (4 skeins if you want to be safe).
