Embossed Fascination Shawl YARN KITS

Welcome to the Embossed Fascination Shawl Crochet Along!

The things we can do with a simple hook and yarn have fascinated me for most of my life. In my newest creation, the Embossed Fascination Shawl, I wanted to pay homage to how we get captivated by our craft and how it gives us so much beauty in our lives.  

The Design

The Embossed Fascination Shawl is made using a fun technique that minimizes color changing and other annoyances (aka: weaving ends) by using a self-striping and a solid color yarn in a smart way.

The sample showcased was made with our yarn Bonita Yarns Chromatic Wool in “Prism” and Woolicious in “Black” colorway. Yarn Kits are available at www.bonitapatterns.com.

 

 

 

 

                     

Materials:     

Self-striping yarn:

4 skeins of Bonita Yarns Chromatic (DK Weight, #3, 100% acrylic, 262 yds/240 m) 

OR

4 skeins of Bonita Yarns Chromatic Wool (DK Weight, #3, 30% wool, 70% acrylic, 273 yds/250 m

 

Solid yarn: 

4 skeins of Bonita Yarns Woolicious (DK Weight, #3, 50% wool/50% acrylic, 230 yds/210 m)

OR

4 skeins of Bonita Yarns Dreamlicious (DK Weight, #3, 100% acrylic, 230 yds/210 m), 

 

Notions:

US Size I (5.50 mm) hook

US Size H (5.00 mm) hook

Stitch marker

Yarn needle

Scissors

 

Gauge:

With I hook HDC in the Back Loop: 7.5 sts and 4 rows = 2" x 2”
