DIY Pom-Pom Decorations (Video & Step-by-Step!)

Posted by bonitapatterns@gmail.com on

I’m super excited to bring you our very first video tutorial! I get a little nervous in front of a camera, but it actually turned out to be great fun and I’m pretty pleased with the result. I can’t remember where I learned how to make these fluffy pom-poms but I’m almost positive it was an old episode of Martha Stewart. Of course, mine will never be as perfect and high-quality as hers, but they’re fun to make regardless and there’s lots of room for experimentation! I’ve made them for all sorts of decorations and occasions, but I think my...

Christmas Project Preparations

Posted by bonitapatterns@gmail.com on

I’m going to do something crazy. I know, it’s not even Thanksgiving yet. But I saw on Facebook the other day that there are only 7 more Mondays until Christmas (!!!!!) and…well, I just couldn’t help myself. Throw pillows, real pumpkins, fake pumpkins, bats, ghosts and ghouls are covering every square inch of our house! It’s really gotten me more excited for the holiday. Her obsession doesn’t stop there, though: as soon as I got home, we got to work on our very favorite tradition: baking as many...

DIY Halloween: Adult Crochet Costumes!

Posted by bonitapatterns@gmail.com on

Halloween is getting closer and I’m getting a little nervous…not because of the spooky decorations or the giant displays of tempting Halloween candy at the grocery store, but rather because I’m still trying to figure out a killer costume for this year! I’ve been browsing through Pinterest trying to get some ideas for a costume with a twist, and in the meantime I’ve discovered a ton of beautiful and creative crochet patterns that tie in perfectly with the biggest trends of the season. While they’re definitely above my crafting pay grade, I’m sure that some of our extraordinary readers will...
