    Assembly & Schematics

Weave in yarn ends. With yarn needle and yarn, sew front and back of bodice section with the ribbed stripes in vertical orientation, turn waist section inside out. Sew top front and back sections were shown in schematics (note that top front and back ribbed pieces are on horizontal orientation). Join two top front and back by sewing 8” leaving a neck opening of  about 9” on front and 9” on back. (see schematics)

Note: Instead of sewing with yarn and needle, you can also join the kimono pieces by crocheting them together with the following sequence:

    * ch, sl st, rep from * across 2 pieces held together.

Make sure you crochet a ch-1 between each sl st. This will ensure your joined pieces retain their stretchy properties. If you only join the pieces with sl st across, the joining seams will be stiff.
